Our story
COSYlanguages is a language-learning project and a community for people who love languages.
How it began
COSYlanguages began as a community for language teachers: a place where teachers taught each other new languages and compared notes on methodology.
During the isolation of the covid years, we opened it to everyone. It stopped being only for teachers and became a community for anyone who wants to learn languages and be part of something.
Our founder, JY DM, kept learning more languages and kept studying how they work. The goal became a comparative system for language learning, and a special method to practise languages and actually retain them. That is where the project became what it is today.
What we do today
- Develop methodology and learning methods that help you retain and expand a language, not just meet it once
- Teach languages, one-to-one and in groups
- Compare languages side by side
- Protect languages and help them stay alive
- Build a community for language nerds, for learners, and for anyone who wants to keep their languages in good shape
- Run speaking clubs that help people avoid isolation, make friends, exchange ideas and have fun
